News on Shea’s partnership in the Minneapolis Club revamp broke last summer, and the 140-year-old, ivy-covered club’s newest dining experience (designed in partnership with owner Jeff Arundel) is set to open in April. Charlie’s Minneapolis Club pays homage to French culinary trends and the origins of fine dining in Minneapolis–partly by drawing in lauded Chef Jamie Malone as chef-in-residence. The restaurant features the original bar from famed former Minneapolis restaurant Charlie’s Cafe Exceptionale as part of the lower-level dining room’s new look, a nod to the past while the rest of the design sets the club up for its future.
