Senior Architectural Technician

As a Senior Architectural Technician, you’ll collaborate with Architects, Project Managers, and Designers at Shea to develop and implement architectural design concepts across the restaurant + hospitality, retail and workplace industries.

You’ll prepare schematic, design development and construction documents with thorough knowledge and skills in Revit, from building 3D models in the development phase, through documentation set up, detailing and applying materials. Additionally, you’ll assist with the preparation of presentations and attend meetings as appropriate.

In a senior level position, you’ll be key in ensuring overall quality, responding quickly to redlines and delivering complete models and construction documents. You’ll ensure mid-point and end-point reviews take place before documents are submitted and take initiative in problem solving on documents and ensuring top quality delivery.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Developed architectural design and drafting skills with a strong understanding of construction processes and building codes
    • Advanced in Revit with a drive to stay current and curious in your level of knowledge and abilities
    • AutoCAD and Enscape knowledge a plus
    • Ability to collaborate with team members; receiving direction from Project Managers/Architects as well as providing direction and support to designers and junior technicians
    • Ability to independently produce construction documents with minimal guidance
    • Understanding of coordination of consultants and contractors, ability to communicate with consultants and contractors as directed
    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fields of restaurant and hospitality, retail, and workplace design
    • Capacity to thrive independently and in a teamwork setting, able to shift between multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
    • Degree required, 10+ years of experience preferred
