The James Beard Awards announced the semifinalists for the 2025 James Beard Awards, with Shea partners and friends among the honorees. Spoon and Stable is nominated in the national Outstanding Restaurant category, and Chef Ann Ahmed is nominated in the national Outstanding Chef category for her restaurant Khâluna.
Chef Gavin Kaysen and Shea partnered on the design and branding of Spoon and Stable, his first restaurant and return to Minneapolis, in 2014. Last year, the restaurant underwent a light refresh in celebration of their 10-year anniversary. We’re so proud to see the continued recognition and love for the iconic restaurant. Congratulations to Chef Kaysen and the Spoon and Stable team!
Chef Ann Ahmed and Shea have also built a strong partnership, designing her recognized restaurant Khâluna, as well as Lat 14 and Gai Noi. We’re thrilled to see Chef Ahmed earn the national nomination for her incredible culinary talents, congrats!
