Not all office complexes have the advantage of stellar lakeside views, but when Shea was approached by the Normandale Lake team to refresh the 8400 and 8500 buildings that have long been a Bloomington mainstay, we knew that the natural beauty of the area needed to take center stage. We took advantage of the space’s rich, traditional look, maintaining its legacy style while bringing in softness with matte marble floors, simple wall sconces, and carpet in the common areas. We also brought soft seating nooks and library tables to the lobbies and modern wingback chairs with laptop tables in the skyways, adding the usable space that’s a definite amenity for modern tenants.
