Baldamar brings luxury to Roseville with its glamorous design and sparkling details, a properly swanky steakhouse-gone-modern in the suburbs, designed by Shea from the ground up. The powerful design embraces a warm base of wood, concrete, leather, and blackened steel, punctuated by brass and marble accents that bring an unexpected elegance. Curved ceilings are accented with recessed lighting to draw the eye to the concrete-and-wood ceilings. A wraparound bar, highlighted by mosaic tile, is at the heart of the restaurant, with its hanging blackened-steel overbar always aglow, and intimate tables, booths, and curved banquettes give the space a convivial feel. The display kitchen is flanked by storage for a world-class wine collection, and a set of steer horns mounted on a textured wall over the host stand makes the bold statement that guests have arrived at Baldamar.
