Tulibee Tavern

The Work

Refresh a local watering hole for regulars and visitors alike

A mural of red and green tullibees swim across rooftop – one of many brand moments ushering in a new identity for the tavern. Shea partnered on both the design of the new brand identity, as well as a fresh interior, our second partnership with the brothers after refreshing Mugg’s just across the street. Tulibee Tavern can be summed up as a celebration of Wahkon: a wall-mounted fishing boat and snowmobile, retro floatation devices, snowmobile helmet cubbies, and framed historical photographs from the area. A woodcut tabletop demonstrates the depths of Mille Lacs Lake, filled with tinted epoxy. A retail display offers guests the opportunity to take Tulibee home with them.
