Shea was founded in 1978 by David Shea, whose simple idea was to design spaces with intention. What began as a small architecture and design studio grew steadily under his leadership into something different: a firm built around the belief that brand, space, and experience work best when they’re developed together.

The same belief holds true today as we’ve grown to 50+ creative individuals driven to achieve the best for our clients and ourselves. We love what we do and why we do it, and it’s evidenced in each project we complete.

Shea is led by a team of Principals and Associates driving our strategic vision and creative direction. Forty-eight years after founding our firm, David continues to provide mentorship as we embrace the creativity, innovation and sense of partnership he has instilled in our culture.
