Golden Valley and its surroundings are abuzz with excitement about the new, Shea-designed restaurant Latitude 14, housed in a former Perkins space. Longtime restaurateur Ann Ahmed is at the helm, and this eatery is a followup to her successful Lemon Grass Thai in Brooklyn Park—it’ll feature food from across the 14th latitude line, from Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. The total gut job includes an open kitchen, exposed metal truss roof, mosaic-tile floor, and neon signage—the stuff design dreams are made of.
