We’re seeking a student Graphic Design Intern with strong interest in restaurant + hospitality, retail, and workplace branded environments to join our team for a paid opportunity, 40 hours per week mid-May through mid-August.

    Learn from experienced graphic designers, as well as other designers, architects, and leadership at Shea as you gain hands-on experience developing environmental and graphic solutions that translate a brand into a physical environment. This includes components of concept definition, name, brand, logos and identity, signage, in-store communications (including menus and menu boards), etc. You’ll contribute directly to projects, collaborating with other members of the team to help our clients reach their goals.

    You’ll receive learning opportunities and mentorship as well as the opportunity to enjoy Shea’s culture from everyday office interactions to special events. This includes monthly Shea Celebrates gatherings to recognize our team and learn about exciting Shea happenings inside and outside of our office. In addition, we host monthly rep presentations and lunches where you have the opportunity to learn about new products, network and create lasting relationships.

    The ideal candidate will contribute innovative, thoughtful and highly creative design ideas and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Applicants should have strong design sensibilities, Creative Suite proficiency, and outstanding visual and verbal presentation skills.

    WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
    • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design or related field of study
    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within design of branding, environmental graphics and signage
    • Knowledge and experience in 3D rendering software is a plus
    • Previous internship or leadership experience is a plus
    • Ability to take direction as well as work independently
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
